    Need New Wheels

Ok well im looking at getting a set of sportmax 002's for my car and was wondering on the fitment.
My car is lowered on H&R springs in the front and Im not quite shure about the rear. Im currently running HRE 17X7.5 with 215/40/17 with no issues

I was going to buy these in 15X8ET0 would this fit and not rub?? and what are the proper size tires to run?

I appreciate any help in advance. Ive searched but I am still unclear and dont want to end up buying something that wouldnt fit right...

Why are you going from HRE's to Sport Max?
15x8et0's work, there's a few guys running that setup with
195/50/15's and rolled fenders. Your current suspension
isn't low enough for them though.

And do I need hubcentric rings?

So if I wanted a bigger tire what would my best option be???

EDIT: Id like a set of cheaper wheels I dont have to care soo much about when im in the city and tires I can trash at my free will

pm Ash, his screen name is 8atman, you need tuner lugs, not sure
about the hubcentric rings, ask him.

I picked up a set of SSR rep's for a pretty good price the offset is 40mm and the wheel size is 17X7 Will I need to run spacers? Can I run a wider tire on that rim without rubbing?

Im still considering the sportmax wheels but thought these would look pretty cool on my car:razz:

Will running spacers cause any problems??

I still have the HREs. One of them is cracked however and there is a flat spot... I havnt decided what I am going to do with them yet.

What do you guys think? Because I am mounting them tomorrow morning and id like some opinions before I actually OWN these wheels

Would I be able to run a wider tire with the 40mm offset??

OR.... a higher profile tire to maybe prevent another cracked rim??

I rolled my fenders, but not pulled them and it rubs with anyone in the back seat, so I took mine out. To pull this off, you need to roll and pull the fenders in the rear and possibly stiffer suspension all around. I rubbed the front hard once on a round-a-bout turn and feel that I should invest in coils.

The wheels with 205/50/15's will still stick out about 3/4" and the rear will get cut by the lip that the fender has. To eliminate this, you will have to roll that lip, and have your fenders pulled out a little so that they are able to fully clear the tire. In the front you will have to trim the front of the wheel well just a hair. I want stiffer suspension so that there is no more body roll which adds to the rubbing...hope that helps

I assume i already have trimmed and rolled fenders since im not rubbing or anything.. ive put 5 people and didnt rub

I went with the 40 offset in hopes to run wider tires and ideally a higher profile.. Am i on the right page or way off??

yer off. higher offset DOES mean that the tires will be further IN from the fender lip, HOWEVER now the tires are closer to the struts and will rub or even hit on the inside. the proper way to run wider tires is to run a lil bit LOWER offset, and then roll your fender lips to make more clearance on the OUTSIDE.
