15x8.5 et6 -Will this work?? Basically 15x7 et25 BBS RS with 2.5in Lips to make 8.5

Will this work for the e30?? And what kinda tires would I be able to run. I want a little strech but nothing crazy.

I have 18x8.5's with 225/40 tires and it has just the right amount of strech. So I kinda want that look.

    Thanks

Ok, so I figured out that 8.5 et6 is the same as 15x8 et0 on the outer lip. Which is what everyone with Sportmax's are running. And since the barrel will be the same the inner clearance will be the same.

So what tires should I run with them?

I'll just keep answering my own questions, so don't worry about posting anyone.

215/40 is good tire for 8-9" wide rim. Should give you same look as 225/40.. May be a problem to find those low-sidewalled wheels 15"..

I've 8,5 + 10 x 17" (ET 14 front & rear) in my E30 and with those outer lip comes quite nicely to the arch.

-8,5" ET6 means that lip comes quite nicely to the arch, may be little bit in but is ok.
-7" ET25 stays really in, you need ~20mm spacers to get the rim close to the arch but rolls without problems anyways.

because it's a 15" wheel, you should really go for 225/45 or 205/50 (and it will still be undersized heavily)

215/40-15 is TINY, and your speedometer will be more than 12% inaccurate, this is an estimation as my speedo is more than 10% inaccurate with 205/40-16s on my 16x9

Thanks guys. I have 205/50's on the RS's right now- 15x7. So from what you all said I think I should be able to run the same tire on the wheels at 15x8.5 I'm sure it will be really stretched, but that's what I'm looking for!

92 mtechnic- Was you car the one at Bimmerfest with the mad Poking Borbet Type A's?
