    Mini wheels on E30?

So i'm looking into all possible choices out there. i came to the conclusion that i might go as far as 5 lug and get converters. Then i remembered that Mini Coopers are 4x100 and BMW more or less. I was thinking about the 16" V-spoke wheels that was on the S. i know i probably will need to get spacers and or hub-centric rings.

But has anyone else done this? I think it'll look nice.

this is the wheel in question.

I beleive the center bore is actually smaller on the Mini's wheels than on e30's. So you would have to bore the wheel I believe. It has been covered. Use the SEARCH button.

The mini wheels are HEAVY to make the ride more comfortable. A guy brought a S to the track and just switching wheels he saved about 100lb of weight.

Yeah, I doubt they are that heavy. That would make each wheel drop 25 lbs. Seeing as how the lightest wheels are around 10-15 lbs, that puts the stockers at 35-40 lbs for the wheel alone? I seriously doubt they are that heavy.

And again, I think the venter bore is going to be your issue.

ok, well thats that then. i think when the time comes im gonna get some T.D.'s race. But then again the sportmaxx's, however played out they are, weigh about 15lb's, edgeracing.com says, i think for 15x8's and cost pennies. Kosei's are out of production i hear, so thats that as well.

a heavier wheel would produce more energy to be absorbed by the suspension. more energy = harsher ride. Steve Dinan explains it better than i can.
