    Michelin

My friend has Michelin tires on her Chevy Suburban that blew out on her while she was going like 80. Does anyone know a good brand of tires? i know this is BMW related. but i thought i ask anyways.

Michelin tires are very good. Any tire can blow out, no matter what brand or type (all season, snow high performance). It all depends on how new the tire is, what may have been run over, the tire pressure and speed. You should not choose a tire brand because one blew out. It could happen to any tire, no matter what the cost or brand.

      Was every one ok?

It could have even been the drivers fault for not checking the pressure. Low pressure+high speed= lots of heat/blowout

or she could have hit something causing a failure in the tire structure itself causing it to blow out at speeds. Tell her to only replace them with at least a d rated tires. My Denali XL when it was time for new shoes I put Michelin tires that are D rated (stronger sidewall construction) since the vehicle is heavier. It was a huge improvment over the c rated tires that were on it. And my F250 actually has f rated tries on it but it wieghs in at 10500 too.

alright i will tell her that . and i made sure she checked them before she left. im think it is the interstate she was driving on. cuz at spots it has alot of pothole unavoidable. so could that cause a blow out? im trying to get info on what could have caused it cuz her insurance is trying to blame her.

Yokohama Advan Neova. There's no other logical choice.
