spec for custom wheels?

I am looking to order some Bassett or Diamond wheels for my e30. Just curious if any of you guys have some specs to recommend. I am thinking 15x8 or 16x8 and I want the overall look comparative to a sportmaxx with a +15 offset. Any ideas on backspacing requirements? I have heard even with their max backspace I would still need to run a 5mm spacer.

Any thoughts or ideas?
