well the upgrade bug is hitting me...and begs me to change wheels on my 87is.
right now i have basketweaves on.
I'm currently thinking of 2 options now...

1) Alpina replicas 17"

2) team dynamics 15"

any other good inexpensive options?

is you car lowered? If not the 17 KOPI replicas would look funny. They are also pretty heavy at 21-22lbs each and that weight is moved out and coupled with a pretty thick sidewall.

Most of the TD wheels look tacky. The Pro Race 2 arent bad because they have some of a lip. The rest are all Honda wheels with a built up hub so they dont have any lip or dish and stick out. At least the KOPIs look like they were made for a lower offset car.

How much to the TD wheels weigh?

the TD is kinda light - around 13-15lbs i think....its on bimmerworld's website.

i will be lowering the car soon....just have to get some shocks revalved and then will go GC on the car.

If you are into performance then def get the TD wheels. The expanded sidewall is a way to tune the suspension and the light weight wel, that has been covered a 1000 times.
