    13's on an E30

    Will they fit?
A friend is willing to give me a set of BBS's off his '02 (1974 2002) for free because he's not crazy about the way they look n his car. I would use them with cushy tires for the winter...

    will they fit?

is your car lowered? undersized wheels will be terrible for streetability. I know from experience

    * i believe they will rub the caliper.......so no

OE or BBS 13's from '02's and E21's won't clear the front calipers on E30's .
The rear will be OK though .

The only 13's that would really fit without too much hassle would be like the 13" reversed rims like wire wheels .
Basically a wheel that has almost no backspacing .

If you are after cheap winter wheels get a set of Vdub, Miata, or Honda wheels from a boneyard .

I was interested in them because I like the way they look, but you guys are right....13 is way too small and the driveability would be a bit worse on an E30...aside from throwing the speedo off buy a good bit too.
        Figured I'd ask.
        :)

I thought the same. While I was under the car during the timing belt replacement, I noticed there was very little clearance with the 14" bottlecaps as it is.

I think the bottle caps are going to be my winter wheels...I just need to spray them a nice matching silver.

/\ Correct me if I'm wrong, but my E30 came with 14" wheels, so it'd only knock the speedo off as much as adding 15" wheels. I run 16" currently and am going to 17".... I don't think, as far as speedo error goes, 13" would affect much.
