Running two series tires...& Michellin question.??

    Hello guys,

Wanna go over to the correct 55 series tire. Saw a deal on 205/55 R15s but right now I'd wanna just pick up two and mount them on the rear.

Then I'd have 205/50s up front; anything negative about driving this way for about a month?

    2nd question..

The Michellin Pilot Exalto PE2.. anyone on here have experience with them . I just love the aircraft style pattern!

    Ktnx

If you've got ABS, it's gonna fuck it up. The front tires will have to spin faster, making the ABS computer think the rear wheels are starting to lock (slower speed).

Otherwise, I don't see any problems. Why not just save your money and buy all 4 at once? I mean, it's only a month.

      Fuck..!

Hmm well then i'd prolly buy the two and store them. Just can't buy all 4 now.

Best price I found for these Michelin (thusfar) here is € 127 per including balance & mount.

The ABS system on a e30 isn't advanced enough to be bothered that that size difference. No worries.

The size difference won't matter, as Jordan said.

Exalto PE2's are extremely good. They are one of the rare tires to both stick very well and last forever. Very much offsets their high initial prices.

Oh ok that's better then!! yay!

More testaments or knowlege on the Exaltos still welcomed..

Cause I use summer tires / all-seasons year round, (I take it easier in freezing temps) and shamefully all have been cheap up until this point with this car.

Just how bad would Exaltos be in winter un-deep winter slush and light snow?

Absolutely terrifying in anything close to winter conditions.
