Problem ive noticed today, this may seem odd and be a hard to answer or follow question, but im gonna ask.
In the rain, with real Alpinas 16"ers, does it appear as if the brakes are not there for a little while? As in, does it seem as if the rotors are covered in water and the brakes do not work until after a seconds or so.
Ive used other 16"ers with a more open design [5 spokes] and never had this problem.
Just curious
