^I agree. one of the BEST mods you can do the car, not only does it make driving so much more fun, it makes the road holding and breaking that much better too. No brainer, don't buy shitty tires.

P.S. I love my Azenis RT615s, One full season of autocross and also my DD tire. Aren't the greatest in rain/cold weather, but otherwise steller, and not expensive either.

I've got some ze512s right now that are pretty nice and I have some RT-215 on weaves that I run no the track. The RT's are super nice and the ze's get the job done on the street.

            ZE-512 suck end of story.

I currently run the ZE-912 on the street and for drift practice, they are WORLDS better than the 512. Still plauged by the falkan soft sidewall, I run them about 38psi in the front and 42 out back, that seems to make them less squirmy.

And no, those will not tame the rear end, I only have a m30afm, chip, and 4.10, and I can rip them through third in the rain, and they still pop out with a little throttle in the dry during cornering.

I am running 195/60-14 on weaves.

I got some RT615's for autocross and drove them for a few hundred miles on the street to break them in, now THERE'S a TIRE!

Only thing i'll have to get a little accustomed to is what I can only describe at this time as "sidewall flex" in sharp highway turns/ on- offramps. Only feel this for about a sec. and the tire then plants the car in the corner.

I'm just guessing at the moment that this has to do with the higher profile tire. (Still have 205/50/R15s up front; at least the front ones are good tires)

BTW I've only driven a total of 80km's/ 49 miles on the Falkens today
You need to bump the pressures up, try adding about 5psi more in all the tires all around. These have notoriously soft sidewalls.

I remember reading from someone (Majikal?) that Falken uses 2 different compounds depending on the aspect ratio of the tire. Something like 55 and up uses crap and 50 and below is better or something like that. Maybe he'll come in and educate us again.

I'm really happy with both sets of 512's I have, but they're 225/45/16 and 225/50/15. Maybe that has something to do with it? I have none of the issues you guys are describing.

You're on the ball. The 55-series and below ZE-512 is the more aggressive tread compound, 360 treadwear vs. 420 for the 60-series and up. I've never tried a 60-series and up ZE-512, maybe it is just that bad.

Mystikal, Majikal, close enough. Sorry 'bout that Jay. At least I was paying attention to you, though.
