im looking for a good summer tire.

i just got some 16x8 rota slipstreams for my e30. im pretty sure that without rolling my fenders, the only tire i can fit would be a 205/45/16. im pretty low on cash right now, so these will have to be lower in price. i will be auto-crossing once a month, mostly normal spirited driving so higher treadwear would be a plus. what tire would you guys recommend?

    thanks,
    Adam

R-615s are like DC hookers... cheap and fun.

You can do 225/45/16 without having to roll your fenders. That and the 16x8 loves that size. I suggest the BFG KDW II's. Very nice in the rain and pretty responsive.

Little bit of stretch, but not too bad.

Nope, no rubbing. They will be flush with the front fenders and slightly inward in regards to the rear fenders. I would like to get a set of 5/8mm spacers for the rears to get them flush.

225/45/16 WILL RUB. VERY, VERY BADLY.

I can suggest a tire for you, sort these attributes from highest to lowest:
                        Dry traction
                        Wet traction
                        Response
                        Noise
                        Treadwear
                        Hydroplaning resistance
                        Price
