Anyone running 4 lug/17" track wheels on E30?

Curious what choices are out there for 17" wheels for an E30... Just ordered a Massive BBK front and rear for my track car and am contemplating new wheel/tire choices... Thinking about running 17"s but can't find many out there. Any suggestions? Thanks-

17x7 BBS RGR, they were like 16.5lbs I think. I was about to buy them for track wheels but I couldn't justify it since I don't track my car yet...

      1. You get the sweet DTM, BTCC, WTCC look.
      2. Fairly lightweight for the cost. 17 x 8 = 19lbs $242 shipped from Team Illuminata
      3. You can custom order in any offset from +11 to +55 and it doesn't cost you extra. However, they are running 6-8 weeks on custom orders right now.

17's are the best option (for tire choices) if he wants to run bigger than 235's which are only sold in the r888 that I know of.

Thanks for the replies so far, everyone. What is the optimum offset I should be targeting if I'm choosing between different manufacturer options? FWIW, I have a set of 3mm spacers on the way from Massive, as well, in order to deal with some offset options.

            Thanks again-

Dude, this is awesome. To my knowledge this hasn't been brought up around here before. Their website doesn't list that size in 4 bolt, and their 4 bolt profiles say 4x114. But if you know they do custom orders, perhaps this would be something that a GB could bring in. 17x8 all around is what I'm after.

Too bad the 16" rim nazis around here have spawned the belief that they're the best size. Shit tire selection. 15's or 17's are where it's at.

Nice. I might have to bust out a credit card and call these guys.

Let me know I am going to be buying a set of wheels at the end of april. I was going to get some slipstreams but I am really hate, hate the tire selection for 16" wheels. 17x8's :-)

I am running the 17x7 diamond black RGR's. A lightweight wheel (16.58 lbs) that actually looks good.

There isn't an optimal offset. It depends on the width of the wheel, what size tire you want to run, and the look you want.

Mine are 17x7 w/ an 18mm offset and they are close to flush with no rubbing.

Take a look at the wheel/tire fitment thread, that should answer your question.

Mystikal has told me to run a 17 x 8 with a 235/40/17 you want ET 28, and you will only need a minor roll to make it fit.

Lots of good tires in 235/40/17.

I'd like to see some more tires in the 245/35/17, Toyo makes their T1R in this size, as these are almost the exact dia of stock.

225/45/15 hoosiers are wider than alot of 245's
