What size wheel? For the Type A's right?

I'm running 205/45 T1Rs. I love them and when I get my two more nines for the front I will probably still run the 205/45 T1R

Yes, but do they stretch well?

It's for my set of Type Ts. 16x9 ET15.

I'm suprised to see u switchin out the 7.5s for the 9s. You were the one that told me to go staggered some time ago. Glad to see you made the switchover though. :D

They're both really similar. The Toyo will be slightly better in dry/wet braking, noise, and ride while the Falken will be slightly better in wet handling, hydroplaning resistance, and will last longer.

But honestly the differences aren't as noticeable as they sound there. If it were me I'd buy the Falkens though.

I have no idea why Tirerack customers love them so much, because they are not that great at all. Probably because they are cheap I have no idea.

I hear that General Tire is a sister company to Continental. And Contis are good enough for the e46 M3... I dunno.

I figured performance-wise, I can't go wrong. I'm just trying to verify that I get a stretchable tire. Figuring out which one is a safer bet for ease of install, seeing how there aren't any shops in my area that feel comfortable doing such a stretch.

I really want to try the RT-615s on these wheels, but can't risk losing $400+ on a guess. I love the RT-615s on my Bcaps... So I think I'll enjoy the FK-452 on my Borbets. I've always wanted to try the T1R though, seems to be a very popular tire.

I know the RT-615 CAN be stretched, and to a pretty extreme degree: The AE86 Falken drift car has 205/40/16s on 16x9s. But I have no idea HOW they managed to do that, the sidewalls are insanely stiff.

But like I said, you can't go wrong with either the 452 or T1-R.

You can't say things like that to me, because then I will have a tad bit of hope that the RT-615s CAN FIT! Please tell me that there is a way I can confirm this so I can order these damn things already?

Yeah I knew there was something about it that I didn't like. The fact that a 195 wouldn't stretch at all on the front wheels and I knew I'd be able to pull them off with the right height.

Jay, would the 215/45 Rt-615 be more appropriate for him then? Wouldn't be as aggresive a stretch and would give him the tires he wants?

Def THE question of the thread... if I get Jay's approval, I'm ordering them tonight then. That is the tire of choice, and size of choice (until I get around to hacking the fuck outta my fenders so I can slap on some 245s) for me... so let's see what the man has to say! :D

That's exactly what I was referring to, although I mentioned the AE86 demo car.

                              Here:

This car is running 16x9 205/40/16 615s. Like I said, I have no idea how they do it because as anyone who has physically held an RT615 knows they are insanely stiff. So yeah it's possible, but probably not without someone (or a team of like 4) who know exactly what they are doing.
