New to R3V... want some wheels :)

    Hey guys,
Ive been lurking and had a couple of posts over the past year, but i finally got an e30. a clean m52 swap '87 325is. a mild turbo build is possibly in the works. that being said, Im looking for some wheels and id like at least an 8" wide wheel out back for when the time comes.

Ive been searching here and e30tech for the past week to find the perfect wheel. I dont want to spend an arm and a leg on works/forgeline/bbs etc, but would like a nice set of mesh (bbs rs,rm kinda style) for a decent price.

I hate to say it but the sportmax's are tempting.... im going to try and stay away from them. But can you guys find a better rim for the same(ish) price.

    Hope you can help out!
O and I should be heading out to the Blueridge parkway this weekend to take some pics of the New to me E30 :) (If i can fix my 944 before the weekend :/ )

    Thanks agian,
    -Pieter

O and I'd be looking to spend 700-800 max and wouldn't mind used wheels.

Edit: My suspension is bilstien's with IES3's .

This guy says he will be making some 8's or 8.5's soon, they seem to fit your requirements pretty well.

shit, I forgot the link http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=106906

I would go with the ESM wheels. They definitely look better than Konig Remembers and if they make them wider that would be the best choice.

Ya those ESM's are exactly what i want. If they come out with 8's or bigger Ill be all over them.
I know youve probly heard this alot, but for the money... the sportmax is pretty tempting. (but i do have to agree, they arn't the best looking :/ )

Im going to keep an eye on ESM. Thanks!

95 dollar shipping. Whats tempting about sportmax? they look like ass if you don't have the perfect stance to pull it off.

Dont you mean Asheville, NC? If so, we could meet in Columbia if you want my rims:

Black Rota Slipstreams, built to fit our cars in 16x8. $500. I had tires mounted, didnt like them and dismounted without ever running them so they are somewhat unused, almost perfect besides the little rubber rubs you get from mounting and un mounting a set of tires.

                    A couple of pictures, 1, 2.

If you like the sportmax buy em. If you like the ESM buy em. If you like (insert rim here) buy em.

                          Go with what you like
