    Well I got a problem....as usual.

Ok so this past weekend (Sunday) I went down to RI and bought a set of 3 piece 5x130 HRE 535's. Now I was all giddy and today I got a set of 20 mm adapters and I put the tires on. The fronts fitted great and looked amazing, but when I took a look at the back I got a different feeling. One side stuck out more than the other. You may be blaming the adapters, but oh no. So wrong. So on with the pics.

    Rim 1

    Rim 2

One center is shallower than the other. I checked the fronts to see if the centers were mixed up, but the fronts are the same.

So now. Where do I go from here? Should I call this guy and request that he takes the rims back? The side that sticks out more looks really good, but I just wish they were the same sizes.

    Thanks,

    Hootie

add another spacer to space it out to even both sides...?? i dont know how HRE's customer service is, but it has to be decent if people order completely custom wheels, they might be able to fix it. good luck, and nice wheels.

I can't really add spacers to adapters. Not too safe. I was thinking one bigger adapter on one side.

You're just going to have to roll the two good ones on ONE side. Nobody's going to see both sides of the vehicle at the same time.

that doesn't sound too safe. Ok so I measured these guys and I got 62 mm for the big one, and 42 mm for the other one. (the distance is the distance from the front face of the center to where the rim actually touches the hub) I think the 2 mm difference was due to lack of perfectly fitting in the measuring tool. Regardless the rims are 20 mm off. Could I just run a 40 mm adapter on one side and a 20 mm adapter on the other side?

          Safe?

Is it the set in RI, because I bought those. If not do you mind if I contact the seller. I am sure that there was a mishap at HRE when these were refinished 2 years ago. They just dont let rims out of the factory like this. And they might have switched two of the centers by mistake while fixing the same set of rims. The previous owner of these had them for 2 years and only has seen one other set. ever.

measure the difference. What kind of adapters do you have? Custom? I think 25mm is the thinnest that a legit company sells (H&R or FK)

I have a set of 32mm I believe 4x100 to 5x130 hubcentric adapters. I'd sell the pair for a good price but I can't seperate the two. It's probably more like 5mm difference it looks like, so you could buy a set of 25mm adapters pretty easily

It is a 20 mm difference. I measured the big one at 62 mm and the smaller one at 42 mm. 20 mm....ridiculous.

Do they happen to have centers that are mismatched? If you aren't going to buy them I am very interested. but I doubt he would sell one center. Are they 15 inches and 5x130?

I also have a set of custom 2 piece 42 or 43mm wide adapters. Wanna test fit? I'm in Brookline.
