BBS RS001, how wide can I go?

I sold my Caddy and want to buy an E30 next spring. I got a set of RS001 and I'm wondering how wide I could go. I was thinking 2.5'' lips front and 3'' lips rear (15x8,5 et5.95 and 15x9 et0.4 if I'm ok) . Is it to wide ?

I want them to poke a little bit but not too much. About 1/2'' out of the fenders would be nice. I'm planning to strech tires on them to avoid rubbing (flame suit on). Something like 195/50/15 front and 205/50/15 rear.

Feel free to post pics of E30's with the same specs of wheels.

My ex Caddy on Schmidt TH-Line 13x8 et05.

first off, awesome to see another quebecer! :)
and second, im very jealous of you for getting pretty much the rarest e30 rims ever.
i hope you realize though, by stretching tires on your rims, you do put your rims at risk for curb rash and bends, be careful...

Your offset calculations are spot on. For what you want, you have pretty much an ideal setup. You WILL be getting well acquainted with a fender roller and perhaps some quarter panel paint, though.

Can someone explain how to do the calculations? I have a set of BBS RM from a 16v GTi on my E30 currently. They are 33et and I planned on going with the exact same setup as the OP, 2.5" in the front and 3" in the rear. Basically i'm ok with doing some fender puling and rolling and I would guess painting as well if it cracks, and I plan on getting a set of the GC full coil overs to top it all off. Does that setup sound to radical?

And sorry for high-jacking the thread, but I figured since it was just asked, no sense in starting a new thread.

            I'm doing my calculations in a 3D software ( 3DsMax 8 ).

Here's the specs for your RM's.

            15x9 et1.25
            15x9.5 et-5.1

            Hope it helps.

You can do it on paper too, I've reached the sick, sick point where I do it all day in my head for the fitment thread on here.

                Existing ET - (Added width / 2)

You obviously have to convert the added width to millimeters for this to make sense. 1" = 25.4mm.

I received my wheels today. They're stunning. With barrels in and out it gives 15x11.5

Now I need lips, bolts, nuts, valves and an E30.

Those are badass. I'd use em like that with the 275 autox tires.....would be a shame though to relagate those to autox status.....

I know where some RS's are located at.

                            PM me for details...

so im in a similar situation as the OP.. I've got RS 001s and im in the market for lips, bolts, and caps. fenders will be rolled. I want to know how wide I should go where the wheels look sick, but I can still run decently wide tires w/ moderately low ride height. right now I have 205 50 15s on them, but would prefer a 225 series tire. thoughts? suggestions?
