Can three peice rims be given a deeper 'dish'?

I have some three peice rims and the chrome lip needs refinishing anyways and I was wondering if you can change the depth of the chrome lip? They are American Racing BBS knockoffs, see below.

    thanks

Yes if the sheels are compatable. This is not for amateurs thou. There is a great deal of safety you need to worry about when you split three piece hubs.

You'd be spending more than the fair value of those wheels to widen them.

you meant the fair value of the car right? Having new outers properly installed is anything but cheap

Three of these came on my car when I bought it, apparently someone stole the wheels that were on it so the dealer got three of these from the junkyard and one factory. I bought it from the guy who bought it from that dealer though, and he included 4 bottlecaps. So who does this type of work and do you think a knock off AR wheel would be compatible to do this? The wheels were free so Its possible in the future I wouldnt mind paying 2 to 300 a wheel, to get this done. How much would it cost to just refinish the chrome lip? Also, does anyone have one of these wheels they want to sell?

                    thanks

it is not a big deal to split and polish BBS RS rims. you just take out the screws, and make sure you torque them properly when you put them back together! Ive done a few sets already doing a (8x15/9x15) set right now for my touring. I think it will be impossible to get outer lips for knock off fake bbs's though. they dont even make rings for the real ones anymore. so you will have to haVE SOMEONE MACHINE IT!
