i haven't replaced the steering rack, and it has been giving me problems, even after a rebuild. i'm actually looking for a Z3 rack to replace it with. you think the crappy rack is giving me too much room to turn?

That Dish looks like it's been changed, you sure they are 7j's and not wider???
Regards to the E30 rack, you should have no issues at all with these wheels on.

I'm betting they are 8j's, and those dishes definitley look like that have been changed.

Can you see if the dish is folding towards the inside just after the rim bolts, or does it slant out towards the rim straight away?

haven't gotten around to dismounting the tires yet, but here are a couple of pics of the wheels. i took some measurements of the lip and the inner wheel. the inner is already 5 5/8" deep and the lip is a bit over 1 1/2" deep. and that's without being able to measure the dish itself. so it does seem like it's more than 7" wide. but i won't get accurate measurements til i get the tires off.

No need to take the tires off, they are 7j.
This is a first that i've heard of "Rubbing" issues with these RS's.

Is it catching on both sides when lock to lock is applied or just one?

Check your wishbones, make sure on is not bent if this is happeneing on one side only.?

Also, have you fitted eccentric M3 lollipop bushes?

i've fitted brand new wishbones, and tie rods, too:





and yes, i do have the eccentric bushes:





it seems to be worse when i'm turning left. it's most noticable when i'm on a speed bump and about to turn, or if i'm going up a ramp at an angle. :(

I've been looking for BBS RDs and have really only found the 4x100s in 14x6.5 et35 and 15x7 et25. Any others known?

Rare as in there weren't large numbers produced, and the reason these fetch good money is down to the fact they are the only 16" RS in 4 x 100
