i had NEXEN's on my crashed car, and they were pretty good. I put them on my girlfriend's MX3 too. Great tire for the price ($40 per tire).

      Good qualities:
      1. Lasted very well.
      2. Awesome to drive on dry roads, lots of fun in corners, stick pretty well, and slide when asked.

Problems I had with that tire:
      1. Not for spirited driving on wet roads. Unless you want to drift every corner, this tire wasn't for great.
      2. This tire loves to squeal. Loud tire.

I've been using them on all my cars (the E38 and the E30s)

The Nexen N3000 is the best bang for the buck I've seen nowadays.

I've got the N3000s, in 215/40/17, on the car right now. Not a bad tire, especially for the price, think under $300 shipped for 4 17s.

Not the stickiest tire, but it does decent in the wet, isn't too loud and rides well enough.

If you're looking for a budget tire I'd go for it.

I don't see how there could be that much of a difference between your 17's and my 14's.

good. I was looking around for another set of new tires and Nexen was the only thing that popped up in the size that I want and they are the n3000.

What's loud to one person isn't loud to another?

I don't do "spirited" driving in the wet. And I was talking about its general road/interior noise vs what it sounds like when being pushed.

ebay and tiredeals4less.com seem to be the cheapest places to find them.

I found them on ebay. They are 230 shipped for all 4.
tirerack and discounttire.com didnt have tires in the size I want.
I just checked the link you posted and the tire size I want it says there out of stock.
They have the nexen ones and there 60 per tire. but yet out of stock.

You get what you pay for with tires, I would get something better (with more grip) since you are running around with a 24v swap imho

                            Gotcha.

I say noisy not because of road noise, but because if you go into corner they love to squeal more than any other tire I've had on the car.
