    16x8 +20 and 225/50

I see that the biggest tire selection is in 225 50/16, and there are some 225 45 and 245 45 tires as well.

With fairly stiff suspension 700front/900rear, and about -2-3 degrees of front camber how much work would it take to get the 225/50 fit on wheels front/back?

Trying to narrow my choices down.

Minor fender rolling to get 225/45 and a little more for 225/50. I'm going the same route with rota slipstreams. I know that dom on e30tech has 225/50 all around with his fenders rolled. However 245/45 would probably require a few mm spacer front and rear, and some heavy rolling and pulling.

Then they will fit just fine with that rubber and some rolling. :D

I got a 15x8 with a 205/50 but my car is slammed. I had some rubbing issues.
I dont think your car will be as low as mine so I wouldnt really go no bigger then a 215

I am running 225/45r16 on slips 16x8 et20. IE Stage 3s. I had to roll the rears, but have no rubbing. I am not sure about 225/50s or 245s, but the 225/45s are a pretty tight fit. My only concern with 245s is that they might get close to rubbing on the strut housing as even my setup is getting close. If you have a late model car, expect to roll the rears for sure.

The tire selection for 16" is not good in our diameter. If I was going to buy slips again I would seriously consider a 15x8.

As a side thought....a 225/50r16 will be 9/10s of an inch larger than stock diameter.

225/45r16s will be 1/10 smaller than stock.

Thanks ! I don't believe 15x8 slips in e30 offset/bore are for sale anymore so that's why I am looking at 16" wheel. As for the tire size, I am not going for looks but for the widest tire possible for biggest mechanic grip possible. Car won't be slammed, it will be stiff though so it probably can go low, and through probably trial and error will settle on a good ride height for handling purposes.

I have 225/45/16 on a 16x8 et20 and don't have any rubbing issues except on full turn.

I am lowered quite a bit and I have the GC camber plates and they are maxed out at around -2.5deg adjustment (I'm actually trying to straighten the wheel up) unless I start cutting some metal to allow for more adjustment to -2deg.

My friend has the 225/50/16 on his BBS RM and they are a lot bigger visually and stick out a lot more. I just picked up some fender flares her ordered to help with his setup.

As you know there weren't too many available choices in tires and I wanted a 225/40/16 and that only came as a T1R and that special order where I am.

As a follow up it looks like the 15x7.5 and the 15x8 are still available in the correct hubbore and maybe offset too. 18racings website is funny, so I would give them a call or email if you are interested.
