    best way to remove studs

i'm going to wider wheels and need to put longer studs on. What's the best way to remove the studs that are already on the car?

thread a lug nut on far enough to put another one on and turn the inside one. The nut closer to the car will grab onto the other lug nut and turn the stud out.

Loosen it on the ground, or half way jacked up. Let friction do it's job.

if you have to take the wheels off, just wedge a board between the seat and the brake pedal.

I was thinking aftermarket studs, those can't be removed while the car is on the ground. You need to take the rim off, and then i the front wheels were spinning, so just apply the brakes.

This was an easy job. I stuck a pry bar between two studs and then double nut'ed the one I was working on. Used a 12x1.5 tap and put the new ones in. Thanks for the help.
