    Wheel painting tips

So, soon ill be aquiring a new set of wheels, to get off bottlecaps.

So, currently they are black with polished lip

    [racing hart c4 Reps]

But heres the actual point of this thread:

I've got a decent amount of experience painting, whether it be car parts or guitar finshes

    But

Is there anything to be sure of when painting wheels? certain paint types? any techniques or tips?

    AND

What color combo for a schwarz car: Silver w/polished or bronze w/ polished? or leave black

          I dunno.

          Personally, I hate black wheels.

I saw an E36 M3 on gloss black/polished magics and it gave me a stiffy.

So now I am gonna do a wheel scheme I hate.

          Gotta love that, huh?

Haha, Yeah, usually i don't care for black w/ polished lip, but on the right car it looks good

I'll be rocking the Black for a while because i wont have much spare time after mounting them

Black on polished lips is so played out now.
Bronze on polished would look great.

Do you want a spray can or are you gonna use a paint gun?

If you're gonna use a spray can, I painted my weaves with duplicolor wheel paint, no prep work except cleaning, and it lasted over a year until I got rid of them without chipping.

On the other hand I stripped my Voxx to metal, primed them, and painted them with VHT wheel paint, and they chipped within 6 months.

I've heard Wurth is good too, but haven't tried it.

                        Walmart flat black.

You think I'm joking, but I'm not.

                        Best shit EVER.

Use a good flat clear over it.

Yeah and thats good shit too.

But the everything that is flat black on my car has been painted by that paint.

                            I swear by it.
