BBS RS dilemma. To 16'' or not to 16'' ?

I have a set of RS001 and need bolts, nuts and lips to finish them. Now here's my 2 options.

Option 1: buy bolts, nuts and 15'' lips to finish them.

Option 2: sell the polished 15'' barrels I already have and buy bolts, nuts, 16'' barells, and 16'' lips.

Option 1 is way cheaper but 16'' RS's rock. If I choose Option 2 I'll need to wait some years cause I don't have the money right now and I want to upgrade my suspension. I've been quoted 1495 euros at Felgen Garage for this:

    5,5x16 inner lips - 175 Euro/pce - 700 Euro/set
    2,5x16 lips - 165 Euro/pce - 330 Euro/pair
    3x16 lips - 170 Euro/pce - 340 Euro/pair
    Shipping: 125 Euro

    Total: 1495 Euro

So, 16'' RS's worth them the wait or I go for 15'' ?

Sorry for my english, I'm a french Canadian. ;)

    Here's a pic for fun.

I just got a set of 15's that I have to refurbished and I have to say that I would rather have the 16" but I have a budget and I have to stick to it. Good luck.

BTW: I love the 15" on the picture. How wide are the lips?

They're inner lips (5.5''). The guy who sold them to me did the chrome powder coat and polished the inner lips. Kinda useless but pretty cool.

I love 16" wheels on E30s. To me they look like they have the perfect amount of sidewall.

finish the 15's and sell them in a little while after you save up some cash for 16's

              16" is best.

This is your best bet I think. If you turn your 15s into 16s you'll never get back what you invest in lips and barrels, but if you sell the refinished 15s you might only need a little more cash to score a set of 16s.

has several sets in 16" in the $2k range. I would think it would be cheaper just to refinish what you have and enjoy/resell to get some true 16 BBS RS's

Well I think I'll build them in 15''. It'll be cheaper and still pretty nice.

16" looks so hawt with the huge stepped lip. imo. are BBS RS wheels same inner spokes between 15 and 16?

                      yummy
