    Free set of wheels

Sorry for the title, NO I'm not giving away a free set of wheels.

So I've been offered a free set of wheels, but they're from a friend's hyundai elantra, which is a high offset FWD.. I have seen the wheels on the car, but I haven't looked at the actual offset, its at least +40, I'd bet on it. They're 18" Konig Imagine wheels, which an older wheel, but reminiscent of BBS LM, in my opinion. I wasn't ready to do anything with wheels, as the car still needs some help in the appearance department and is at stock height, but since its winter here in MA, I'm picking up some bottlecaps today for snows so the whole 18" wheel fiasco will not need solving until spring.

    the wheels:

Anyway, they're 18x7.5 so I'll NEED spacers and longer lug bolts, which kind of bothers me. Question is, where do you folks get your spacers from and more importantly, where do you get good, strong, quality longer lug bolts?

TMS has longer lug bolts from +3 to +20 or +25mm in length.

You can buy H&R spacers from TMS (Turner Motorsports) as well. Check the wheel fitment thread. ECS tuning I believe is also selling hubentric 10 and 12.5mm spacers as well, where the H&R isn't hubcentric until 15mm.

I found the bolt-to-the-hub style spacers here: http://www.amimotorsports.com/store/..._detail&p=1076

That means the stock bolts will work. Awesome, but a little more than I was expecting. Add that to a free set of wheels and well, its a damn good cheap set of wheels.

All the literature I find on the google tells me these wheels are likely et45. Now to do some math and figure out which spacer I need.

If those were mine, I'd run a 215/40 with 25mm up front and 35mm spacers out back.

I'd prefer the wheels to be as far from the outside fenders as the inner clearance would allow. Having lowered a few previous cars, the outside cuts up a tire quickly if things dont have due clearance. I was thinking 20, but I definitely have to check the stamping on the wheels themselves before I order any spacers

A little OT, but I have the same rims in 15x7 et20. If they are et45, I'd go with 20mm ish up front and 35 out back. The rear tires natively tuck in more than the fronts so it will look even front to back. I'm not sure how much strut clearence you will have, though.

so the wheels are damaged, which explains the free portion of the deal - don't want to bother getting them repaired so I'm passing them by.

                  They're also probably 4 or 5 x 114.3, not 4x100.
