I have had these in 205/50/16 for almost a year on a set on Remembers. I have given these tires hell and they have done well. I have taken them on the Dragon here in TN and they did not let me down. I took them on the SE fall rally and I did spin one time, but I think it was due to wet leaves on the road.
In warm and dry conditions they are really good. What I don't like is that they do not make any noise to let you know where you are pushing them to the limit, they just let go. There is a good amount of grip there but I think that the deep tread pattern lowers the grip. I think this because the longer I have them the better they grip.
In the rain is where these babys really shine!! I have never never never had a high performance tire grip like these in the rain. I believe that this is due to the nice directional deep tread. It limits the dry traction, but gives killer wet traction. I have never hydro planed with these in normal daily driving conditions. Of course I don't give them hell in the rain, but I don't worry about sliding around like I have on other tires. I would say that these grip better than most if not all all-season tires that I have ever had. If you want a high performance tire and live in a rainy environment I would 100% without a doubt recommend this tire.
I have driven these in light snow, 1/4 inch on the road. They did very well and I did not have any more troubles than I believe I would have had in an all-season tire. I also think that this is due to the tread design.
Word of warning on cold days, sub 35 degrees, these tires can be bastards. You might as well be on 90,000 mile walmart POS $29.99 tires. They are hard as rocks and not grippy until they get warm.
Overall I like the Goodyears. I have never had a Goodyear tire before and I am impressed compared to the bridgestones that I have had in the past. I have put 10,000 miles on them and they easily have another 10k to go. I biggest bitch is that they don't warn you before they break loose, and I did expect a little more grip in the dry. The trade off for the amazing wet traction is well worth it for a daily driver, like mine is. Again if you live in a rainy part of the country this would be a great fit for you.
I got them on sale for $75 each, and it is well worth that price, right now they are on closeout on tirerack for $55 each. I think that I will try the KDW's next. This car will be retired from daily driving duties by time I need a new set so wet traction will not be as important. I would not hesitate to put these on any daily driver that you like to push every now and then.
