    will 225/50/15s fit on a 7" rim?

Considering buying some Hankook R-S2s as they are one of the only very good tires left for those of us running 15s, at least that I have found. The only issue is that they my be too wide. On 15x7 et20 rims, should they me okay, or will the size difference cause funky handling issues?

Also, any opinions on the tire would be appreciated.

I ran 225/45/16 Falken 512's on Remembers (ET20, 7" wide) with no problems and my cabrio is very low. I don't know how the Hankooks compare width-wise, but if they're similar you should be just fine.

Yes they will fit, but they will be a bit vague and slow to turn in being pinched on that sized rim.

I ran that way for ~3 years on the street, and then ran V700 and V710s in that size for years. Never had any problems, other than the 710s were a PITA to get onto the rim.

I have Hankook RS-2 in 225/50/15 on euroweaves right now with no problems. If you look at the spec for the tires on tirerack.com, 7" wide wheels should work perfectly for these tires.

I'm about due for a new set of tires, and I'm leaning towards the BFG G-Force Sports in 225/50. Have you considered these?

            I have that exact setup. 225/50 R-S2 on 15x7 ET20 BBS'.

Get ready to roll the rear fender lips FLAT. It's a WIDE tire.

Huh, looks like I'll have to look around for a shop with a roller then... I'm probably going to go with this setup, as, given the meager offerings, it is the best I can find in this size.

                  Aren't D-Force's ET25? That is why.

I've got 225/50/15 RS2's on a set of 15x8 ET22 wheels. Just wanted to mention that I didnt have to roll my fenders a bit and I dont have any issues.

                        Oh yeah.. Good point.

Edit-- Mounted them on an '89 Spec E30 today and they cleared. Fenders/quarters havent been rolled. The 2.7* degrees of camber in the back help clearance, but they do fit.

It's the camber. With stock bushings and stuff it'll rub HARD.

Hmm, okay. I'm on stock poly AKGs, so it'll probably rub. The fenders will not need pulling, though, correct? I'd really like to avoid that.

I think just a completely flat roll should do it.

I'm not quite there yet, and will rub with the car loaded up.
