    Cracked lip on BBS RS

So I've had a moderate leak in my passenger rear tire for about a week. I figured it was a small puncture so I took it to my local tire shop to get patched. Upon inspection of the tread, we didn't see anything obvious so we submerged it in water. I was watching the valve stem because I thought that's what it must've been. To my surprise, a steady stream of bubbles was seen rising from the center of the lip. There is no visible crack. Can this be welded or something? Or do I need to just buy a new lip?

could also be a crack in the sealant. that would be a simple dismount of the tire, removal of old sealant and clear silicon all the way around and remount the tire. but you may also have a crack.

The bubbles were seen coming from the middle of the lip, not very close to the bolts. So I can take it to anybody that welds aluminum then? Or are there specialists for this?
