    E53 (X5) wheels???

does anybody have specs on the rims from E53's? I had a set of the doublespoke 17's a few years ago and they ended up having the same offset as an E36.. I sold them to a guy who put them on his E36 (it looked pretty good too.. those wheels totally change looks-wise when you put a low profile tire on them)

they bolted up and didnt hit.. but i dont remember if the hub circle fit exactly.. they may have been larger since the X5 is based on an E39 suspension.. so he may have had vibration but that could be cured with centering rings..
mostly i was wondering about the lug holes. X5's use this bigger 19mm head lugbolt with a fixed cone shape washer, and it looks like the rims may have a larger hole where the lugbolt seats onto the rim (??) either way the lugs tightened up and the guy is still alive as far as i know

dunno about the lugbolts, but the centerbore as you mentioned is definitely different.

The centerbore is NOT different. It's 72.56 like all other non-E39 BMWs. The exception is the current, second-generation X5 which is 74.1mm like the E39.
