Since I need answers ASAP...and Jay isn't Answering...

    I got a sweet deal on some 17x9 MSW/OZ Superturismo 17x9s et 37.

What size spacer do I need to be almost flush? I have heavily rolled fenders, and can pull them some if need be.

I plan on running 235/40/17, which will be a little stretched I believe.

    Thanks in advance guys!

It'll be slightly stretched, if any.

You will need something like a 20-25mm spacer, depending on how rolled you are. Go with a 25mm and roll/pull as necessary :)

Going to need 25 to clear the front struts.

      17 x 9 ET ~11-14 with 235/40s?

I hope you don't like your fenders!

Well, you bring up a good point.

It's really a matter of what you're willing to sacrifice. 17x9 doesn't stretch 235/40s enough to push the wheel to the fender. You will seriously have to do work to pull it off, and I don't even know what suspension you have (rates/etc)

My original post was getting the wheel to the fender. If you want to do what I said, you might want to consider 225/40, maybe even 215/40.

I'm rocking 215/40 on 17x9 +20 and on slightly rolled fenders I still rub on hard cornering.

I have practically new 235/40s and I don't want to go much smaller on rubber. I guess I'll just have to mount the wheels and tires with the 20mm spacers I already have, and mess with offset/fender rolling after that. When i get more money I will be running flares with more meat for sure! :woowoo:

Spring rates are 250 f/ 700 r. I know that's a weird combo, but with the rest of the suspension setup it handles pretty fucking great!

BTW also running Billy sports all around, poly CABs, poly RTABS, poly rear subframe bushings...and like I said fenders are rolled, and can be pulled and rolled some more.

250 isn't a typo? That seems really soft upfront

I'm running 350/500 and have occasionally on bumpy corners drug my BMP on the ground.

With my the Bilstein sports, the 22mm adjustable sway, and the poly CABs, it is surprisingly stiff with the 250 spring rate up front.

Hmmm interesting. I'm running GC coilovers with Koni adjustables and Eibach sways (20mm) up front.

I like everything about the car, balance and all, but want to just slightly up the rate to like 450/600 or 450/650.

Found out the OZs are 17x8 and not 17x9, which will make them easier to fit.

Since they're et 37, if I bring them out to et17 with my 20mm spacer, can I run the 235/40s all around? Will they be close to flush?

I had 215/40/17s on 17x8 +25.... I rubbed a LOT in the front. In the back I'm almost certain you're clear as I was rocking 225/50/17s.

Is 235/40/17 like a magic number or something? Why do you need 235s in the front? :p

try 15mm spacers. They will be more friendly to your fenders if they clear the struts. Might not work with 235's though...

The Works were rubbing when you had them? I guess my front fenders are seriously rolled! I have basically a few mm of fender gap and had no rubbing ever with the same Nexens even during aggressive driving on bumpy roads.

Ya it actually is, as my friend gave me a free set of 235/40/17 falken 452s with 80% tread left. ;)

If I need to run a smaller tire up front then I will, I would rather not spend the money though. :D
