hey guys I know this is been talked about many times before but, yet no one's really mentioned about a 225 40-17 on a 17-8 wheel (front) and a 245 40-17 on a 17-9 (rear) . what do you guys think? will it work? on a 91 318is, style 5 staggered

From what I've researched, 235/40r17 square is about the max you can safely run without major mods, at least under late model fenders. Will need rear fenders rolled tho, depending on drop.
225/40r17 tires are quite rare nowadays.
245/40r17 rear sounds like it wouldn't fit easily at all, unless going with overfenders.
