The oft asked offset/spacer question (need clarification)

I've searched and I'm just looking for some clarification/assurance.

I'm looking at a set of 16 x 7.5" wheels with +38 offset to run on the vert.

My thought is that I would go with a stud kit and run 20mm spacers which would give me an overall offset of 18mm. Now the question is will the 18mm clear the front struts? The vert is on M3 springs and will not be going lower.

    Any insight is helpful.

    Thanks!

even 10mm spacers should do the trick.

Yeah 10mm would clear the struts easily. I would probably go with a 15mm all the way around. 20mm spacers might be a bit much and give you a slight poke. With 15mm spacers you would be a et23 and would fit perfectly just inside of the fender lips...

E30's work best without issues with a offset somewhere in between et20-et25

This is certainly good news...I'm likely going with a stud kit as well
