I have a set of 15X7 ET26 MSW basketweaves in my parts stash and I'm looking for pics of wheels with exposed lug nuts to see look like on an E30. A search just turns up lots of pics of stock E30 basketweaves with and without the center cap.

There are some pics of various cars with open lug mesh wheels in this thread (scroll back to see more examples):

I think your MSWs would look good on an E30. I had a set of 14x6 MSW mesh like that for a while that i used for my rain track tires on my VW MkII GTI then later on my E30 and they looked proper. I also had a set of 14x6 Ronal/Vial V2 that looked like BBS and they also looked good on these cars. Nuthin wrong with open lug wheels, and i actually prefer the look with the right wheels.Randy Walters

I run 17X7 Beyern Mesh. Silver w/polished lip. Rubber size 215/40/17. Et 27. Cb 57.1. Direct fit. No spacers, fender roll or center rings. No fender rub lock to lock. Great wheel for the money. I am surprised the wheel is not more popular. Also comes in 15 inch. 225/50/15 would be the recommended rubber size for the 15’s.
