DOT legal rally tires on the daily, what can go wrong?

I'm building my e30 to be my daily but also to do rallyx and I'm torn on tires. I was looking at winter tires but it never rains where I am, don't want them melting during the warm months. Considered Grabbers and KO2 all terrains in tiny sizes but they're pretty heavy, and I wanna flex on my idiot friend that slammed his wrx. The r800 comes in hard compound and is DOT approved. Will these things survive mostly being driven on the street or is this a bad idea?
    Jah bless! :pimp:

I doubt it. Normal winters don't survive being driven in other than cold temps. Even the MaxSports I had wore notably with a long drive, and that's just a waste of a specialized tire. Too bad you are in CA since I have a 8 or 9 mounted tired that would be perfect, and cheap enough to burn up.

Well I just cashed out lol, might use them only for rallyx and goofing around offroad in that case.
