17" wheels with a drop?

:up:how much drop can you safely do with 17" wheels?
I plan on buying some nice 17 incher's with the e30 I'm picking up,
I also want to drop it a bit

so how much have you guys dropped yours, and umm post some pics of them also!

as long as you have the correct sized tires, it doesnt matter.

search for pictures, they are pretty easy to find.

I am running a 215/40/17 with 17"X7" ET20 wheels.

My fenders are rolled within an inch of their lives, and do not scrape ever.

Front drop is about 2 3/4" or so, IIRC.
