    Getting to the Fuel Pump

Edit : Im blind as hell. I gave the four rivet looking things a closer look - they're H8 stud things. Screw them out and pull forward and up. Im replacing the fuel pump on my touring but the mount where the seats pivot is in the way. Im not sure exactly how to take it off. I don't want to force anything and break it so wanted to know what the proper way to take it off is. Click image for larger version

It does slide forward after taking off all the grub bolts. Give it a whack with a rubber mallet on the middle of the black rail.

I had to get really rough removing the crossbar, it didn't hurt anything.

Just remembered this for some reason!

For future people: there are small allen set screws at each riveted mount point for the cross bar. Loosen those before tapping the bar forward, tighten once you have returned the bar to home.
