That interior is retarded clean. Jean, this car makes me want an E34 over an E39 for a daily.

Couple weeks ago I installed another new front end, to replace the cheesy FCP branded parts.

Went with Lemf/Meyle HD on all parts.

Today I lowered the rear subframe to do all 10 bushings (did the 2 dog-bones/rsm's already). Picked up a 12ton shop press to help with the job tomorrow.

Well, epic fail today. Not a single bushing would come out, 12ton press ended up being useless lol.

Picked up the trailing arms with new bushings pressed in earlier this week. Just finished working on the car 10 hours straight.

                Completed the following:
                - installed trailing arms in the subframe
                - installed diff in the subframe
                - installed axles
                - removed drive-shaft, replaced guibo
                - removed shifter console and all parts
                - installed new shifter components and e60 shifter
                - installed subframe with trailing arms and diff on the car
                - installed e-brakes, rotors, calipers, lines
                - installed drive-shaft
                - installed exhaust, new gaskets, and a new stud (one broke).

Tomorrow I just need to bleed the brakes and take it for a spin with ALL new bushings now. I just forgot to replace the rear sway bar links, but they seem to be okay, not cracked so they'll do for a month or so and I'll then replace them and maybe get new sway-bars.

I'll probably end up replaced the steering box next, as I still have a little bit of shake even with all new lemf/meyle hd front parts (every single part replaced including rotors/pads, sway bar links).

                Took some photos today -

                e60 shifter and shifter parts

                new trailing arms bushings installed

                new subframe bushings installed

                new diff bushings

trailing arms installed, getting ready to install the diff

                new guibo

                old shifter vs new

                installed

                installed axles

                lining it up for install

                making some progress

                10 hours later :)

                e60 shifter

I hate this car sometimes, I swear!

Something in the rear of the car isn't right, I am hearing what sounds like "clunking" noises and it's probably a combination of the exhaust being way too high up (looking from the back of car), and/or something else.

Today I've removed everything from my trunk, including the factory jack/tire chuck....put new exhaust hangers so the exhaust is not "floating" around as much. Double checked all the bolts/nuts in the back, all seems tight.

And tonight, coming back from a movie theater I got a "parking light" warning light on the dash and ALL my cluster lights went out except for the warning/led bar...but all the gauges work.

Hmm. With both of my E34's the dash lights/gauges have been finicky. I read something about replacing the capacitors or something of the sort. I usually solve it temporarily with a swift smack to the top of the dash board.

It's probably the LKM, no need to hit the dash or cluster.

Nope, just replaced my LKM so I know that's not it. I'm pretty sure that raggedy capacitors cause these issues.

In my case it's not the LKM or the cluster, it was due to a blown fuse and bad parking lot bulb.
