    e34 535i?

Hey guys so ive been considering getting an e34 dd and am mainly looking into a manual 535i but am curious of what the average price is that these are going for in fair condition with around 150k miles and also what are some common things there are to watch out for with them?
    Thanks!

OP - read up on the common issues, ALL E34s have the same "basic" or common issues...(worn out suspension/brakes/crappy door panels/rear window regulars/door locks). Not difficult to work on, and much bigger and comfortable than e30.

It's clean! But honestly, I wouldn't pay more than 3k for it, 4-5 gets you a clean 93-95 525i or even m60 car if you look enough.

Buy it I've owned 4 e34's, you'll love it. See if you can get him to take 3. Thats my favorite color.

I'd prefer an M50 or M60 car for a DD. The M30 gets terrible mileage.

Buy it, it won't disappoint! 29mpg highway is a bit of a stretch, though. I've managed 24 before all highway(non-stop 400 miles). I'm getting 20.55 mixed economy right now.

You need to find out about the maintanence for sure. Im sure you already know, but the m30 is awesome and can run forever! I have a 535/a and Ive been looking for the 5spd ever since.. Ive seen a few, a GOOD example shouldnt cost you more than 3k. even with low mileage. If its mint then 4k is tops. At that point however I would be looking at the 540/6. Just my .02

Are the style 5's staggered? and it says sun/moon roof and it looks like there is a sun spot in the car that might indicate a moonroof. If it has a moonroof i would snatch that thing up for sure!

Yeah the m30 is sweet and it was pretty nice overall, he said the previous owner lost the receipts and he hadnt really done any matinenece since he got it about a year ago but it ran great im just not sure if e34's are the right car for me there just a little to big since im so use to my e30

I'd take the m30 over the m60 for a from any day of the week. Not many m60s make it 300k miles, m30s on the other hand (also as you keep up with valve adjustments) will. Plus the maintance is easier
