I think you'd need to figure this out first. How much money are you prepared to spend on a set of wheels/tires? What size are you looking for?

Style 5's are soooo Overplayed . I even saw some Grandma with them on her E12.

Style 9's are the best wheels EVER! ;)

E39 wheels will require hubcentric adapters to work on an E28. Hope that price includes good tires!
