I vote s54. I know a guy locally who swapped his e28 m5. Not cheap, but very cool and very clean. Not as fast as my turbo m30, but 20 years ahead in tech.

...and you still have to do valve adjustments! Vintage and new age...all at the same time!

Seriously though, S54 is an amazing engine, as long as you treat it right.

LS1, mine is in progress right now. 6.0 Vortec truck motor, GTO oil pan and intake, 10lbs heavier than M30. Good for power, at least as muck as anyone witha right mind would put in a E28. It has been done multiple times.

Basically here's what I have

I want to put in. I'm a fiend for torque and I love high horse power just as much as every real man in the world does. I have two m30's sitting in my shed, one that I rebuilt but mow I'm second guessing myself about it trying to decide if I really want to put an m30 back in just to take it out 6-9 months down the road. I want power and I want it mow BUT I don't want to do the regular s38 swap or m30 turbo (as sweet as they are). I wanna do something .... Big. I was thinking s54 or m62 but I can't decide. What do you think r3v?
