    Speakers size/Audio upgrades E34

guys, anyone know what are the stock size fro the front kick speaker, mid speaker in the dash and the tweeter?

Same goes for the rear shelf speakers, what size are those?

I want to upgrade/change my JBL speakers and Rubicon (old 90's) amp among the subwoofer which is a old JBL special enclosed box which sounds terrible the whole combo (maybe because is old).

I would like to go with OEM size speakers but I'm not sure what to look for and I want high quality speakers. Somone local to me suggested MB Quart. I want a three way components for the front and what ever suit best for the back.

I have already a storaged JL W3 subwoofer of 10" that I would liek to fit in a open but small box (vented) since I didn't like much it in a enclosed box.

Speakers brand and sizes suggestions welcome:p

    Thanks

    -Diego

Diego, do you have a US shipping address available?

You need one of my subwoofers so bad...it makes these cars sound fantastic with all stock speakers and you still have a trunk. Do the amp rack as well and that trunk becomes jaw dropping sexy.

I agree, I LOVE Luke's e34 box! Everybody that's heard my system has been more than impressed, and I do like to play it LOUD but the key is I like it LOUD AND CLEAN!

I just put quality 2 way components up front, and a single 12" sub is firing through the back in Luke's box. I use Image Dynamics components upfront and a polk db (not great) sub with a mb quart 4channel amp. Personally I would not waste money on putting components in the back, and use the money on the best components you can find/fit upfront. Sometimes a good two way is better than a most 3 ways. With speakers, you want to go out and listen to as many as you can to figure out what YOUR ears like.

        Yes I do. 33166 FL

How much goes one of your boxes? I would like to keep my W3 10" JL subwoofer I have laying arround. ANy photos installed in the e34 to take a look?

The speakers I found in my M5 are JBL, probably from the mid 90's era.

So, a 2 way front components it's the key and what for the rear, coaxial would be the wise chocie I guess?

Not sure what brand though. I like the sound stream amp for the speakers. For the W3 I have laying arround a old JBL BP300 I think it's, I could use that and save some money, I just don't want a ultra high tech audio system in my car, just want a loud, clear and greta sound overall with not so much investment.

Here is what my car looked/look like (if you remember) how I purchased with it already. I just removed the nakamichi stuff.

I will get you a bunch of info here...and seriously, a 10 in an E34 is silly. The box is only 1.5" smaller and you lose damn near a full octave on the bottom. 12" is the only box I plan to offer for the E34 at all.

Save that 10" for an E30, it is perfect.

I will get a plan together for you, give me a list of all the gear you have available, model numbers and all. You will be surprised how little it costs and what you get for sound...the launch of the new E34 box is coming soon.
