e34 gas door?

    e34 gas door?

    wassup with the gas door, it doesn't open all the way? is it suppose to be like that or the door is broken?

    there is a small plastic hinge that always breaks on them, they are like $10 at the dealer

      Yea fix the hinge before you lose your door. I think they come as 2 parts, the hinge and the spring.

          I did the same thing to mine today. Cheap and kinda easy. Basically had to tear apart the old hinge to get it out of the door. But hey, you're replacing it anyway. You don't need the spring if you have the old one.

            Listen to the others. The reason it doesnt open all the way is because of the spring not in place. See if you can pull it back where it belongs, a quick google search will provide you with pics. I went ahead and ordered a new hinge as well as spring and replaced them both. Fuel door feels solid now.

              yup, i notice the spring wasn't in the right place after i installed a new hinge. thanks for chipping in though.

                Just gave one to a friend the other day,he was getting gas and bam!!!! Fuel door came off. I miss my 95 e34 wagon.:(
