E30 is spoiler on E28

I know that people often run E28 M-Tech spoilers on E30s, but does the opposite apply? A friend of a friend wants to buy an is spoiler off my E30 to fit to his E28.

Well, it's shorter, the contour is a bit different, and there is a chance that the mounting studs won't come through the trunk lid where you can get the nuts on them.
