    E34 530i, yes or no?

I'm looking into purchasing a 95 530i with 124k and was wondering if any of you here might be able to offer some advice on those cars. Any past or current owners? What are some things to look out for? Things you like or don't/didn't like? I'd appreciate any advice. Thanks!

My friend owns one. It's cool if you don't want to modify anything, because the only thing you can do to them is like the 540i intake/intake manifold, exhaust work, maybe a chip? They're kinda gutless, the 535i is better all around. Less parts too.
    Jah bless! :pimp:

Baby M60....meh. Not worth it to me. V8 maintenance with not really mediocre V8 performance.

The speed of a 525 with the mileage of a 540.

          Find a 535i. 530's are worthless.

3 liter V8 is a novelty, nothing more. Skip it.

well you CAN swap in an M60B40 fairly easily, which is worth it if the 530 is a 5-speed. Is it?

It is a 5 speed. The opinions voiced here are kind of what I was thinking. Just wanted to confirm. :)

I was under the impression that the 530 got better mileage than the 535.

Yea, but the 535i was at least less slow.

I hear with the 4 liter intake manifold they are not bad.

it's a manual. any non m20 powered e34 manual is worth a test drive.

I have nothing against them to be honest, decently peppy, nice torque, great daily driver.

M60B40 is better no question, but the 3L V8 is not exactly a piece of shit either, especially as its a last year E34 AND a 5 speed.

I agree.. but an auto M60B30 ,, vs auto M60B40 .. is a huge different in sprinting ,,
