I once attempted that, me and my buddy were successful for about 6 blocks until he got on it good and I rode the brakes a bit much. (We were using rope, and no where near the speed your going)
I called my buddy in his M5 to say speed up because I was getting bored at the back. I was always checking through his windshield to be ready and slam the brakes if needed, of corse this was at our own risk.
I was racing my buddie's M5 e60 and somehow at the 260 km/h and still climbing had to slow down due the traffic, then I proceed to accelerate again and while reaching the 255km/h mark, I noticed the engine won't keep climbing and my friend started to pass over me, then slowed down and noticed I had a missfire....pulled over, we took out the 6cyl spark plug and found it with oil...later at the shop I found 0 PSI in that cylinder....time to rebuild the mighty S38B38 I guess.....:x

I was being sarcastic :)... I still need to find the culprit, but I'm crossing my fingers that the fault is in the injector, and need to test them in the lab still. Otherwise, could be the chip? Don't know....but the piston is melted to the point like if a torch gun with oxygen injected was used.....
