DROOL!!!!! Great find. And with the back story, definitely worth the wait I'd imagine.

I know some old guy around my neighbourhood has one of the original ACS5's standing in his barn together with a lot of other interesting BMW's.
He's some kind of crazy collector...

Had the opportunity to see a original ACS3 E30 touring a year ago, really awesome car, but didn't take any Pictures.

Before I left Cali and moved I had a s52 that wass going to go back to ODBI and 5 speed Z tranny. Also had a Garret turbo for it, but after the move I did not have the support that I had in Cali to do the conversion. A local shop here that did a lot of turbo work wanted to go stand alone and I just want ECU controlling it. So I ended up seeing the conversion. The car has the following

    ACS Front Spoiler
    ACS Side Skirts
Had the ACS Rear but solid it
    ACS Type III 18" rims
    ACS Steering wheel
    ACS Mono Wiper Blade
    ECIS Cold Air
    ACS Sway Bars
    JC Chip
    UUC Tranny mounts
    RD Strut Bar
    UUC Pulleys
    Remus Cat Back

Full custom Kicker Audio that I installed
    4-RS Resolutions and 1-12" L7 w/ KX 650.4 and KX 600.1
    Alpine 7998 Head

So it is funny that the guy said he owned it from day 1....

looks to me like wrong rear bumper, wrong exhaust, etc to be a real s5.
plus they only came in 2.7, 3.0 and 3.7 in e34s.

was the guy's name "brian" by chance? lol.

Now that you mention the bumper I beleive the fully kitted ACS S5 Silhouette had fender flares and Staggered 3 peice ACS Type III wheels that were11 inches wide in the rear.

Edit: it does seem to have sport seats too though, this is very curious. Did it have a ACS sterring wheel or any other goodies inside that you could see?

Edit again: looks like that could be a legit ACS steering wheel.

Im becoming obsessed with these S5's

Spotted this badass at the mall the other day, and snapped a few pics. Actually waited around for the guy, and this isn't a clone, it's a real S5 3.2. Full ACS body aero, interior, suspension, everything minus the exhaust, which is a full Remus system. Guy was in his late 50's, really cool, owned it since new.

No no,, Ac-S ALPINA ,, Hartge they would not tune such an engine ..

    Hartge offered 4.7 E39,, and ALPINA 4.6 and 4.8

    nothing from Ac-S
