Longgggg ways off, lol. hopefully this trans will hold out until then. Have good leads on everything but a 535i driveshaft and a manual pedal box (had one but sold it to Buttchuggs a few months ago, DOOP!)

        So, I'll spill:

I'm building it from a M30B34. Plans are o-ring the block, B35 head, and a friend has a Cartech turbo kit ready to bolt on. I'll gradually upgrade, but I figure this is the best way for a newb in FI to get something going. Plus it'll be a DD, so I don't want something nuts.

Until then, it's just going to stay a beat old e34. No upgrades until I get it running like I want it.

          Bloody awesome mate!

I've been on the hunt for weeks and all that's really decent down south is this Lachs 530it with a m60b40 and 6spd swap. Looks killer.

Thats the thought on the e39 after i get the e30 back together (2.7i build). Should we get a touring cruise set up?

Nice! I really like that it's a slick top. I'm not sure if I'd miss my sunroof, but I haven't had mine in the summer yet...
                Also, 535tit lol.

LOL, got my pedal and shifter assemblys in today.....

Apparently they couldn't get the steering column off so they sent the entire thing.

Anyone need an upper steering column, lol?

Cool! I plan on doing a manual swap on mine as well. Pics of the swap would be great. Or what write-ups (if any) are you referring to?

Doing it all by feel. Only thing I'm going to need a hand with will be the wiring, but found all that at bmwe34.net.

Of course, I'm not doing just a manual swap.

List of parts, feel free to add to it:

                        M30B35 w/harness attached to G260/6 & e28 M5 FW & clutch (currently in my e28 535i)
                        M30 engine mount arms.
Manual trans cross brace, late style
                        Clutch pedal box
                        Driveshaft
Manual shifter assembly (have one from a M20 car, so I don't know if it'll work, but I'll try it. I can weld, or I have a few e28 ones to dick with)
                        Manual shifter console

Red is things I still need, but we're getting there.

I'll re-gear later, with an 3.64 LSD. For now I'll leave it 3.91 for the quickness of this swap, plus when I get the turbo motor built, I don't want to have to re-gear again.

I did the 3 pedal swap in my e34 530it and it felt sluggish. Looking back I think the DME might have had to be programmed to manual like in the later cars *shrug*

So Inufaye and I went to the pink n save to get a door for his e36. While there I found a RRC and nicked the shift console from it, since the gear selector band was good, and also came upon a 1991 750iL. SCORE.

Nabbed the front and rear calipers and front rotors, the rear seat heater switches w/cig lighter, and some e38 style 5s with caps in 99% perfect condition.

May sell the wheels, as I want to put my style 66s on the T. Also donno if I want to put the brakes on the T or on my e28. :/

                                Decisions decisions.
