US got the EDC package in some 540i's. Most folks delete the EDC option with Bilstein's.

EDC was available on the 540i Sport in the US and M540i in Canada.

Have them rebuilt or eliminate the system.

The answer from my old dealer in FL says is blocked, not NLA status as other items previously quoted that were actually NLA. I bought front set from him like 4 years ago. Last time I checked there was one or two rear remaining shocks available worlwide. Today I proceed to quote them and he said is blocked for USA market just like any other euro part I have quoted in the past.

Dealers make mistakes all the time. Try calling a different dealer see what they say. Both front and rear struts are listed as NLA in the ETK. Doesn't matter where you are, EU or US they are NLA.

4 years is a long time ago. Here is a catalog from 2009 where rear shocks are still in stock

So some time between 2009 and 2015 they became NLA

they're NLA, have been for a couple years. There was one right rear remaining a while back, but at the time i had leaking fronts. I used Nagengast in Poland. Did great work.

yep! I know, been in the m5board forums about this topic. Seems like the "remaining" rear shock is gone. I contacted them and I will have to go that route.
