Help needed asap.

Will a getrag 260/5 from 1984 e23 733i bolt up to 1990 auto 535i.

The transmission is at the shop and before they open the E34 need to find out for certain as info on the net seems to be mixed right now.

Supposedly the transmission will fit but I will need pedal box, diff,drive shaft, ??? what else or no?

yeah but it's possible you will need to invent a shift carrier

Not bolt in I assume then?
would it be considered difficult/labor intensive to invent a shift carrier?

If not worth the time/effort I will be looking into sourcing e34 535i specific manual parts.

you can get a bmw part that adapts it. search for early to late getrag transmission carrier adapter.
