I am in the middle of collecting components for a LQ9 engine swap into an E28 right now.
The LQ9 engine is an iron block V8 which weighs aprox. 110 lbs. more than the M30 that's in the E28 at the moment. I will be relocating the battery to the trunk and there will be no AC to help offset the extra weight on the nose.
I'll be replacing the old stock suspension with a sport set up that will see 90% street use and 10% track use so...
...what are suggestions for a street-able shock/spring combo for this application? What front spring rate would be good to compensate for the heavier engine?
