I just rebuilt the motor in my 87 528e. Got it all back together and for whatever reason it turns over but won't fire. Main and fuel pump relays are good and both speed and reference sensors test good (even swapped them for some out of my eta e30 for good measure) but I'm not getting a ground from the ecu for the fuel pump. All engine and chassis grounds have been checked also. Also if manually jump the fuel pump at the relay it wont start....but the fuel pump does work. So I'm missing something but Im a little stumped as to where I should go next. The car ran before I removed the engine with the exception of excessive oil consumption and low power.
